This Sunday I visited the nearest beach to Mérida for the first time – long overdue! Progreso is only about a half hour car or bus ride away. My friend was taking her two adorable doggies for a walk out on the beach, so we headed down away from the developed part of the shore down to a quieter area where the dogs could run wild.
I had a little swim in the warm, lovely water, drank my hangover curing coco and enjoyed the peace and tranquility.
