On Friday night we went to see Yahal Kab, a band who play a mixture of Trova Yucateca and Son Cubano. They were fantastic! They were playing in downtown Mérida as part of the Festival Maya that is happening this week. I especially enjoyed watching the insane speed at which the trumpeter could move his legs dancing salsa…!
