The cenotes at San Antonio Mulix are simply beautiful. Just look at it – its like something from your dreams! In fact this cenote has appeared in romantic scenes from famous Mexican telenovelas!
There are actually three cenotes at San Antonio Mulix, but this one above is the star of the show. Shallow waters, incredible tropical plants all around, a canopy of trees and gorgeous lily pads dotting the surface.
The other cenotes are slightly less picturesque but still wonderful. The second one felt like a secret grotto, half covered so that the further back you swum, the darker it got.
You can find these cenotes on the Merida-Muna road, at about kilometre 39. Arriving at the ex-hacienda, sign posted Hacienda San Antonio Mulix, you can either rent a bicycle or walk about 1.5 kilometres more to get to the cenotes.
